The procession of enemy Stands ends, with a part of the pillar crowned by four Arrows and a ladybug brooch, before moving onto the Stands of the heroes doing battle with the boss. The beginning of the sequence pans up the column featuring the enemy Stands encountered thus far, with a sphere representing Rolling Stones at the base of the pillar, with statues of other Stands on the pillar itself: Black Sabbath, Soft Machine, Kraft Work, Little Feet, Man in the Mirror, Mister President, Beach Boy, The Grateful Dead, Baby Face, White Album, Clash, Talking Head, Notorious B.I.G, Metallica, Green Day and Oasis. The frame is also flanked by two sets of patterns made up of tessellated triangles. During the entire sequence, the scenery is plunged into colored ambient lighting that constantly shifts color and flakes of dust constantly fall from above.
AFFECTUS IN SERIES
for lust does not concern god.' reductio ad absurdum, that if lust is good and the gods dont feel lust, then humans must be more fortunate than the gods, which is absurd, therefore desire is not good and must be resisted (in the latin, seneca uses lots of 'p' and 'b' sounds to really hammer in the sarcasm of this reductio ad absurdum). The ending sequence vertically pans up a pillar decorated with statues of Stands encountered in the series, which changes as more enemies and allies are met as the series progresses (the original sequence did not feature Notorious B.I.G, Spice Girl, Metallica, Green Day, Oasis or Chariot Requiem but following their introduction they were added to the ending sequence). 'that which some people regard as good cannot be good unless humanity is more fortunate than god, since what has been prepared for us, god does not have to enjoy. we can only be happy once we are freed from desire. 'vices press upon us and surround us on all sides and they do not allow us to get up again and raise our eyes for examination of truth', desire wastes our energies and distracts us from the pursuit of virtues. reason has to be used to realise that desire is for the purpose of having children, and then the 'individual faults' are overcome (consolation to helvia 13:3).
AFFECTUS IN FULL
'it is easier to keep them in check when they have just begun than to rule them when they are at full force'. if we are aware of our vices, we can nip them in the bud with reason before they 'begin'. indulgence is primitive and animalistic so it should be resisted (letter 59:14-15) indulgence can be resisted by abstaining from drinking alcohol, 'drunkenness does not create vices, but it drags them out'. desire should be resisted when it leads to an addiction of endulgence. 'they are slaves to their pleasures, they do not enjoy them, and they even love their own evils, which is the worst of evils!'.

*our expressions change whe we feel a passion too strongly. 'no overly violent passion enters us which does not change our facial expression'. *suppurare is a strong word which makes it sound like everytime you indulge you create a new infected wound on your body. 'when pleasures, which have been enacted on a body too small to have taken them, have begun to fester (suppurare)'. 'the stings of lust which rips the soul apart through its pleasire'. 'true love, fires up souls into the desire for the beautiful object' more fire imagery.

*Her rational mind is taken over *imagery of flames and burning with passion *grows pale *feels like she's dying *feels weak *loss of appetite and concern for her own wellbeing.

'she is scorched by a silent flame, her torn cheeks reject the light, she falls with loose steps as if dying, she spends the night wailing she asks to be picked up and, for her hair to be loosened, she feels no concern for food or her health'. In the phaedra, seneca describes how 'madness conquers and rules, and the powerful god is dominating my whole mind, he scorches jupiter with his indomitable flames, the one who always in Etna's maddened ridges turns the forges is warmed by so tiny a flame'.
